In 2006, Bindrune Recordings released 1,000 copies of this CD. By 2007, it was sold out, and the masters were buried in the Earth.
Tanner Anderson’s addition of Timothy Glenn and Jason Walton (of Agalloch), further added to the unique sound of Celestiial to produce 2010’s “Where Life Springs Eternal”, elevating the earlier “Desolate North” to a level of classic stature. Now available for the first time on vinyl, and four years since the original CD pressing disappeared, this milestone has been remastered for vinyl by James Plotkin, and redesigned by Faith Coloccia for this special Handmade Birds vinyl issue. This edition is available in 50 classic black, 100 ultra clear, and 100 white with black haze. LP with gatefold and insert.
